Yulia Brodskaya

 Another truly inspiring artist.  Yulia Brodskaya works with paper sculpting and mainly lettering and how it can be displayed. This was a relevant research of  an artist as I'm looking at how type can be displayed and the ways type on its own can display a design through paper. Her work is all one the type has a lot of flicks and twirls but it all comes fro the main body of the text in the designs.

The colours in the paper she chooses has great effect on the mood in which you interpret the design. for example the design above is in red which would normally be considered as danger but because the type says 'I love you' the colour red then relates to us as love for a person like roses given on valentines day etc. Plus with the twirls and flicks it has a soft feel instead of a hazardous look for being red.

Her work is beautiful her type really corresponds to the image behind it. Her work will inspire me to design in her meaningful way. Like I mentioned earlier the type and image are all one and don't look out of place as two separate designs. This is the method and technique which i wish to accomplish in my poster development.
